Como usar a CIDR calculator
O que calcula e quando usar
Works out the Amplitude, subnet mask, wildcard mask e size de a CIDR block por IPv4 ou IPv6, accepts an address with a dotted mask, e converts a start e end address into the smallest list de CIDR blocks that cover them exactly.
Como usar, passo a passo
- Choose “CIDR block” ou “Address Amplitude”.
- Enter a block such as 192.168.10.0/22, or the first e last address de a range.
- Read the first e last address, masks e number de hosts.
- For a Amplitude, Copiar the list de CIDR blocos.
O que significa cada campo
- CIDR block, ou address with mask – An IPv4 ou IPv6 address followed by /prefix, or an IPv4 address e a dotted mask such as 255.255.252.0.
- First e last address – The two termina de a range, both IPv4 ou both IPv6.
Como ler os resultados
- Address Amplitude – The first e last address de the block, e the number de addresses.
- Masks – Máscara de sub-rede e wildcard mask por IPv4.
- Usable hosts – Addresses available por devices: the total minus the network e broadcast addresses, except /31 e /32.
- CIDR blocos – For a Amplitude, the Mínimo set de blocos that covers it.
A fórmula
A /n block has 2^(bits − n) addresses, where bits é 32 por IPv4 e 128 por IPv6. The network address é the given address with the host bits set to zero. For IPv4 the usable hosts are 2^(32 − n) − 2. IPv6 uses BigInt arithmetic por exact results.
Um exemplo prático
192.168.10.0/22 covers 192.168.8.0 a 192.168.11.255, which é 1,024 addresses e 1,022 usable hosts, with mask 255.255.252.0.
Premissas e limites
- Usable hosts follow the usual convention de removing the network e broadcast addresses. /31 links use both addresses e /32 é a single host.
- IPv6 blocos have Não broadcast address.
- A Amplitude that does not Em forma one block returns several blocos.
Erros comuns
- Entering a host address e expecting it a be the network address. The tool shows the real network address.
- Using a non-contiguous mask such as 255.0.255.0, which é not valid.
- Mixing an IPv4 first address with an IPv6 last address.
Perguntas frequentes
What é CIDR notation?
A way de writing an address range as an address e a prefix length, such as 10.0.0.0/8, where the prefix é the number de fixed leading bits.
How many hosts are em a /24?
256 addresses e 254 hosts utilizáveis.
What é a wildcard mask?
The inverse de the subnet mask, used em access lists. For 255.255.255.0 it é 0.0.0.255.
What é a /64 em IPv6?
The standard Tamanho de one IPv6 subnet, with 2^64 addresses.
Lata a Amplitude always be one block?
Only if it começa on a boundary e its size é a power de two. Otherwise it é split into several blocks.
