Zo gebruik je de Email header analyzer
Wat het berekent en wanneer je het gebruikt
Reads the full headers an email en shows the route it took, the delay Voor Per stuk server, en the SPF, DKIM en DMARC results. It also flags signs spoofing, such as a sending domain that differs from the From address. Everything happens in your browser.
Zo gebruik je het, stap voor stap
- Open the email’s raw headers: in Gmail choose “Toon Origineel”, in Outlook open the Bericht properties.
- Kopiëren everything above the Bericht body en paste it into the doos.
- Read the authentication Resultaten en the route, oldest hop first.
- Check the warnings voor domain mismatches.
Wat elk invoerveld betekent
- Email headers – The complete header block, starting with regels such as Received: en Van:.
Zo lees je de resultaten
- Authentication – SPF, DKIM en DMARC Resultaten taken van the receiving server’s Authentication-Results header.
- Bericht details – Van, Tot, Datum, Message-ID, Return-Path, Reply-To en mailer.
- Route – Per stuk server hop, its address en the Tijd added tussen hops.
- Warnings – Domain mismatches en failed checks.
De formule
Received headers are added Voor the top by Per stuk server, so they are read bottom tot top. The delay Voor a hop is its timestamp minus the previous hop’s. Totaal delivery Tijd is the last timestamp minus the first.
Een rekenvoorbeeld
A Bericht with spf=pass, dkim=pass en dmarc=pass sent van the same domain as its Van address, delivered in 5 Seconden across 2 hops, shows Nee warnings.
Aannames en beperkingen
- The receiving server’s Authentication-Results header is trusted. Earlier Received regels blik be forged by a sender.
- Tijd stamps use Per stuk server’s own clock, so small negative delays blik appear.
- Niets is uploaded.
Veelgemaakte fouten
- Pasting only part the headers.
- Trusting the From name. It is easy tot fake, so check the domain en authentication Resultaten.
- Treating a failed SPF as proof fraud. Forwarded mail often fails SPF.
