Ce qu’il calcule et quand l’utiliser
Looks up the DNS records de a domain name: its IPv4 et IPv6 addresses (A et AAAA), mail servers (MX), Nom servers (NS), text records (TXT), aliases (CNAME), zone Détails (SOA) et certificate rules (CAA). Use it à check that a domain points where you expect, or à debug email et website set-up.
Mode d’emploi, étape par étape
- Type a domain Nom such as Exemple.com.
- Choose a record type, ou Garder “All courants records”.
- Press “Look up DNS”.
- Read Unité record card. TTL tombe un how many Secondes the answer may be cached.

Comment lire les résultats
- A et AAAA – The IPv4 et IPv6 addresses the Nom points Au.
- MX – Mail servers, with a priority Nombre. Lower Nombres are tried first.
- NS, TXT, CNAME, SOA, CAA – Nom servers, text records such as SPF, aliases, zone authority et which certificate authorities may issue certificates.
La formule
Non calculation. The browser asks Cloudflare’s public DNS dépassé HTTPS service pour each record type et shows the answers it gets. TTL tombe un the time à seconds that resolvers may cache an answer.
Un exemple concret
A lookup de example.com returns an A record with an IPv4 address, MX records pour mail, et TXT records including its SPF policy.
Hypothèses et limites
- Answers come from a public resolver et may be cached pour up à the TTL, so a change made a few minutes ago may not show yet.
- The lookup tombe un made when you press the button.
- Only the courants record types are offered.
Erreurs courantes
- Typing a full web address with a pae et expecting records pour the page. DNS works on domain names only.
- Expecting a Variation à Afficher immediately. Caches hold old answers jusqu’à the TTL runs out.
- Looking up a subdomain you have not created, which returns Non records.
