Cosa calcola e quando usarlo
Looks up the DNS records di a domain name: its IPv4 e IPv6 addresses (A e AAAA), mail servers (MX), Nome servers (NS), text records (TXT), aliases (CNAME), Zona Dettagli (SOA) e certificate rules (CAA). Use it a check that a domain points where you expect, or a debug email e website set-up.
Come si usa, passo dopo passo
- Type a domain Nome such as Esempio.com.
- Choose a record type, o Tenere “All comuni records”.
- Press “Look up DNS”.
- Read Ciascuno record card. TTL è how many Secondi the answer may be cached.
Cosa significa ogni dato
- Domain Nome – The domain a look up. Web addresses are cleaned a the domain, so https://example.com/page also works.
- Record type – One record type, o all the comuni ones.
Come leggere i risultati
- A e AAAA – The IPv4 e IPv6 addresses the Nome Punti A.
- MX – Mail servers, with a priority Numero. Lower Numeri are tried first.
- NS, TXT, CNAME, SOA, CAA – Nome servers, text records such as SPF, aliases, Zona authority e which certificate authorities may issue certificates.
La formula
No calculation. The browser asks Cloudflare’s public DNS superato HTTPS service per each record type e shows the answers it gets. TTL è the time a seconds that resolvers may cache an answer.
Un esempio pratico
A lookup di example.com returns an A record with an IPv4 address, MX records per mail, e TXT records including its SPF policy.
Ipotesi e limiti
- Answers come from a public resolver e may be cached per up a the TTL, so a change made a few minutes ago may not show yet.
- The lookup è made when you press the button.
- Only the comuni record types are offered.
Errori comuni
- Typing a full web address with a paª e expecting records per the page. DNS works on domain names only.
- Expecting a Variazione a Mostra immediately. Caches hold old answers fino al the TTL runs out.
- Looking up a subdomain you have not created, which returns no records.
